The German based automaker BMW is currently considering to develop an X7 and X8 crossover, along with a new model which will be slotted above the current 7-Series.
Even if there is no official word from the car company just yet on the three possible future models, the guys at the germancarforum.com are saying that BMW is considering a direct rival for the Land Rover Range Rover, and the upcoming X7 crossover is just what the brand needs. According to our source, the BMW X7 is expected to use various components from both the current X5 and the 7-Series, and the model will go against the Range Rover.
Besides the X7 crossover, the German based automaker is also planning to develop a new version of the CS concept car, which should fill the gap between BMW and Rolls-Royce. The upcoming model based on the CS concept is expected to slot just above the current 7-Series and the luxurious vehicle might use a carbon fiber body and structure. Two other models, which are considered less likely to hit the production line, are the extra-long wheelbase 7-Series and the X8 crossover, with the latter being a “four-door coupe” version of the X7 mentioned above.
