The first rendering with an upcoming entry-level roadster, called the BMW Z2, have made their way onto the web, offering us a first glimpse of what the model may look like once it will be hitting the market.
We have already shown you a report stating that the German based automaker is planning to introduce a Z2 entry-level roadster and now, thanks to Theophilus Chin, we can imagine how the model in question might look like, once BMW will officially introduce it. The BMW Z2 will be sitting below the current Z4 and it will be considered a direct rival to the very popular Mazda MX-5. The renderings posted below are based on the BMW Zagato Roadster Concept.
Besides being considered a rival to the MX-5, the Z2 will actually ride on a front-wheel drive platform, which is basically the same one used on the 2014 MINI Cooper. This means that besides a cheaper price, the model in question will also be a lot slower than its larger brother, the Z4. Rumors are saying that this will be offered with 3- and 4-cylinder petrol engines. The BMW Z2 will be the second FWD vehicle produced by the company after the 2-Series Active Tourer.
