The BMW Z4 M35i will be officially presented to the public next year during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
According to sources within the company, who are cited by the the new BMW Z4 M35i will replace the current sDrive35is and the version is part of the new M Performance Automobiles range. The replacement will be made once the new version of the roadster will be officially presented to the public in a world premiere in early 2013, during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
The source mentioned above is saying that all “is” models will be gradually replaced by new versions developed by BMW M Performance Automobiles. The new version of the BMW Z4 will keep its 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine, which is also present on the M135i, and the model is producing a total output of 320 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, being mated to either a six-speed manual or a ZF eight-speed automatic. The unit is getting a TwinScroll turbocharger and direct injection, which will assure a quick throttle response without affecting the fuel consumption too much.
