The German automaker has decided to gift the Carbon Edition only to customers purchasing the all-electric version, and we’re hoping this is the last special series before a welcomed midcycle refresh.
The new Carbon Edition is also strictly reserved to purchases on the Netherlands market and comes with a Carbon Black exterior shade that gets a blue tint as well as Frozen Gray metallic accents to provide a measure of contrast. The most obvious exterior feature though will be the huge powder-coated 20-inch alloy wheels also coated Frozen Gray. Buyers will also get a generous perk of standard equipment – among them being LED headlights, sunroof, and extra tinted rear windows. Even more can be found inside the cabin where the seats get standard leather upholstery and the standard sound system is now the premium Harman Kardon HiFi version.
Even though the i3 is primarily an urban car, thus its small dimensions, BMW takes care of everyone with the parking assistance package, the Driving Assistant Plus and even an alarm system. The deal gets even better though – the maker is also offering the iPerformance package as well as an acoustic pedestrian protection system. You can have this limited series from €53,731 or €699 per month based on a 48-month operational lease, limited at 15,000 km (9,320 miles) / year.
