The newest supercar in McLaren’s lineup, the 12C Spider, has made its Italian debut during the 2012 Bologna Motor Show.
The 37th edition of the Bologna Motor Show is bringing the McLaren 12C Spider closer to its future customers in Italy. The newest supercar in the carmaker’s lineup has been officially presented to the public in the peninsula for the first time during the automotive event. The McLaren 12C Spider is based on the MP4-12C and, as you probably already know, is the convertible version of its “brother”
The McLaren 12C Spider is powered by the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine as the Coupe, which is producing a total output of 625 PS, sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SSG dual clutch transmission. The McLaren 12C Spider can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, the same time as the MP4-12C< while the quarter mile is done in 10.8 seconds at a top speed of 216 km/h (134 mph. Fuel consumption stands at 11.7 liters burned every 100 km and the CO2 emissions stop at 270 g/km. You can watch live and official images with the McLaren 12C Spider below.
