Another damaged supercar is ending up in our Car Crashes section and this time it is a gorgeous red finished Ferrari 458 Italia. Well, let me rephrase that, because it used to be a gorgeous model before being involved in an unfortunate incident. According to Wrecked Exotics, the model in question has been to one of the owner’s employees to take it for a joyride and we all know what happened shortly after. What we don’t know is how exactly the crash occurred, so if you happen to more on the topic, please feel free to share.
Meanwhile we will remind you that the Ferrari 458 was officially unveiled, in a coupe body form, at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. 2009 was also the year when the supercar has entered production in Maranello. The exotic vehicle came with two body styles, a 2-door coupe, the 458 Italia, and a 2-door roadster, the 458 Spider, both of them carrying a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine was found under their hoods, with 562 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The successor of the F430 had a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which allowed it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 3 seconds, with a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph). The 458 was recently replaced by the 488.
