Brabus launched the CL 500 and S 500 4MATIC image

The aftermarket specialists at Brabus have recently released two PowerXtra CGI performance kits for both the CL 500 and S 400 4MATIC, making full use of the German V8 S-Class platform.

According to the tuner, the 4.7 liter V8 engine has been improved and it’s now developing a total output of 490 horsepower and a peak torque of 780 Nm, compared to the standard 435 HP and 700 Nm, thanks to the PowerXtra module which wired into the electronic control system is bringing new parameters for the ignition, injection and boost, being available in two stages.

We’ve talked about stage one with its 490 HP and 780 Nm but stage two is releasing the bar to 520 horsepower and 820 Nm, which should be enough to make you use the air conditioner at any times and not feel any difference.

Brabus says that the stage two performance is offering a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.5 seconds while the top speed has been raised to 360 km/h or 220 mph.

Besides the impressive power boost and aerodynamic kit which will make you stand out of the crowd, Brabus has also improved the handling with a lowering module, bringing the cars 25 mm closer to the road. Are you afraid that all that power will make the vehicles stop in 3.5 years? Don’t be, because the German tuner has also played with the braking system too.

Sadly there’s no word on the price yet but until that will be announced too, you can watch the mini photo gallery below. Enjoy!
