We’re used to the company’s outlandish transformation – just think of the Brabus Rocket – but this time around the aftermarket specialist is thinking about more sensible customers.
Those sensible to the size of investment they make, for example – as the new package tuning is sort of entry-level customization. This is thanks to the famous tuner’s full family of part upgrades that can be had on any E Class – even the base European E200 offering. The tuner will take the power level from the standard E200’s 181-horsepower (135-kilowatt) to 221 hp (165 kW). The E250 meanwhile moves to 241 hp (180 kW), and the E43 jumps to 444 bhp (331 kW). The diesel side is represented by the E 350d, pushed to develop 304 hp (227 kW).
Brabus is also thorough in enhancing the looks of the E-Class wagon, with the new front end adding larger intakes at the sides, with front lift deducted at higher speeds. At the rear the upgraded exhaust system is housed inside a diffuser, while the E43 gets its own specific set with driver-controlled flap for different sound modes. Of course the package is completed with new wheel designs sized 18- to 21-inches – which hide the suspension enhancements, working with the regular or the air suspension setup.
