Car collectors are about to go wild because a very rare example of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR is going to be auctioned at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, soon.
If you happen to have done extremely well financially over the last few years and you are looking for an exotic ride to add to your garage and have your friends over weekends to talk about it, than we have probably found your future vehicle, in the shape of this Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR. Don’t, even for a second, think that this is your average CLK because it actually has nothing in common with the mass produced vehicle, aside from its name. This particular model is going to be offered at auction by Bonhams, at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of speed.
If you haven’t even noticed the fact that we are talking about a roadster version of the impressive ride, than this probably isn’t the vehicle that suits you best but we still have to mention that it has traveled for only 6 kilometers. The black-painted beast is expected to fetch between 2.2 million and 2.8 million USD and this is just one out of 6 roadster produced from a total of 26 examples of the CLK-GTR. Power is being provided by a large 6.9 liter AMG V12 engine, which is capable of putting down 604 HP and 775 Nm of torque, allowing the 1,440 kg supercar to reach 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
