Bugatti opens its first showroom outside France in Beijing

Luxury automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobile SAS has recently opened its first-ever showroom room outside France in Jinbao street of Beijing, in a bid to meet the growing demand from Chinese customers.

“The opening of the show room, the first one in the world, shows Bugatti’s confidence in China’s luxury car market, “said Mr Kuo-chung, President of Bugatti China.

Kuo-chung said backed by sustained economic boom, China now has a significant number of billionaires, pointing to the annual Hurun Report which said China now has more known dollar billionaires than any other country bar the United States.

Asking about their sales target, he said Bugatti hopes to sell two units in its first year, with more units expected in the following years.

The show room is also Bugatti’s tentative move to seek more stable growth in China. The company may open more show rooms in other countries worldwide if the Beijing one proves to be a success.

Bugatti first brought its million-euro hyper-car to China during to the 2008 Beijing auto show, and within two hours of the car’s debut, Bugatti had already sold one.
