Bugatti has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition, which should go on sale quite soon.
Bugatti is known for choosing huge names for its new special editions and the company’s latest creation isn’t a stranger to this “habit”, as it will be known as the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition. The model in question is just an exclusive version of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse which will be produced by Bugatti in just three units and it will honor the driver who triumphed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1937, for Bugatti.
“The Bugatti Legend “Jean-Pierre Wimille” relates to the successes of the eponymous racing driver who won Bugatti two victories at the 24 Heures du Mans: in 1937, driving a Bugatti 57G Tank co-piloted by Robert Benoist, and repeating the feat in 1939, this time supported by Pierre Veyron in a 57C Tank”, as the carmaker is saying in its official press release.
The new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition will make its public debut in California next month, during the Monterey Auto Week, and it will also be presented at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, in August.
