Buick readying the new LaCrosse showcases new teaser image image

As the Los Angeles auto show draws near, General Motors’ premium marquee Buick has decided to refresh our memory – with another teaser image for the LaCrosse, which is due out in its 2017 model year guise.

This time around we’re treated to a shadowy figure that depicts with fewer details than we would have enjoyed the car’s dynamic silhouette. The model has already been confirmed to be showed next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, with the 2017 Buick LaCrosse ready to hit the showrooms on an entirely new platform – designed to be lighter and more durable than the one used by the outgoing generation. With a sloping roofline and an entirely new five-link rear suspension, we can seemingly judge the LaCross has been turned towards the four-door coupe niche, signaling an entirely new class of customers – out with the older people and in with the young and affluent.

The preceding teaser image, which depicted the model’s front end, showed us the brand is adopting an updated waterfall grille that is designed to complement the model’s upscale ambitions. The designers are widely expected to have streamlined the model’s exterior looks to fall in line with the new dynamics brought by the entirely new platform that includes a significant weight loss compared to the current LaCrosse. We’re expecting the model t be revealed online sooner rather than later while the first public appearance will naturally be occurring during the press days of the 2015 Los Angeles auto show.
