In the United States, prices for the model start at 41,350 USD, before any federal or local incentives and rebates.
If you have your eyes on the i3 REX (Range Extender), than get ready to pay at 45,200 USD before the 7,500 USD federal incentive. The BMW i3 has been officially unveiled back in 2013 and it’s the smallest “green” vehicle offered by the company. Power to the model is being provided by an electric motor, which is generating a total of 170 HP (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. This is mated to a single-speed transmission, sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The range can be extended with a 650cc two-cylinder engine with 34 HP.
