Bulleta Motors unveils RF22 – based on Lotus Evora image

Named after Lockheed Martin’s F-22 Raptor, California-based Bulleta Motors has just unveiled their never before heard of RF22, essentially a reinterpretation of the British Lotus Evora.

The company – which certainly will have its 5 minutes of fame with this model, considers itself to be “a premium manufacturer of exclusive, hand built, exotic supercars. Bulleta’s RF22 model is a world-class supercar. Its pedigree is instilled in racing, and possesses the light, agile, and tactile feedback that is missing from many lesser modern sport cars.”

Easily recognizable as a “carbon” copy of the Evora, RF22 has been equipped with an aggressive front fascia with bi-xenon headlights and a front lip spoiler. It also has a unique composite – carbon fiber is optional – body that was created by Samir Sadikhov who has previously penned the Aston Martin DBC and Cadillac C-Ville concepts.

The rear end indulges us with a prominent diffuser and a center-mounted dual exhaust system. Other highlights include a roof scoop, carbon ceramic brakes and 19-inch carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Super Sport tires.

Of course, no word on pricing yet – it will probably be very big, but we do know that each buyer will receive a “custom made, individually numbered, Swiss mechanical chronograph time piece, matching the serial number of its companion car.”

Coming up to what’s under the hood, the transverse mid engine is a 3.5 litre V6 with Bulleta designed HTV 2300 Supercharger utilizing Eaton Turbine Technology that delivers power to the rear wheels. The powerplant delivers 505 hp and 410 ft-lb and thanks to the 6 speed manual transmission with sports ratios (or optional 6 speed automatic), the car can go to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.
