Seat, the Spanish brand owned by Germany’s Volkswagen AG – the (interim) largest automaker in the world – has decided to give proper attention to business drivers, officially showcasing the new Leon SE Tehcnology Business edition.
With prices starting at 20,650 GBP, the Leon SE Technology Business version is not very affordable, but comes with features for the business owners that seek “quality, style and value above all else”. The model is well equipped to become a fleet asset and could usher some love from company car drivers thanks to extras such as a Technology Pack, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors and a Convenience Pack. The former boasts a satellite navigation system, DAB audio system and LED headlights, while the latter comes with automatic headlights, rain sensor and auto dimming rear view mirror. Aside from the specifications that carefully target fleet operators, the powertrain has also been carefully selected, especially because of tax regime credentials: the five-door has under the hood the 1.6 TDI with 110 PS and has road emissions of 99 grams per kilometer of CO2.
The model will at first come in estate form, and clients can either get the frugal 1.6 TDI with 110PS or the more dynamic 2.0 TDI with 150 PS, priced starting with 20,650 English pounds OTR. The model will become available starting early next year. “The Leon has spearheaded our fleet sales drive over the last 18 months, but the SE Technology Business takes the model on to the next level for business use,” comments SEAT UK Head of Fleet and Business Sales, Peter McDonald.
