The North American based automaker Cadillac is currently working on the two-door version of the ATS, as well as on the ATS-V, which will be the high-performance version.
Since the all-new Cadillac ATS has been officially presented to the public earlier this year, during the North American International Auto Show, the model has attracted a lot of attention and now the direct rival to the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is about to go against the BMW M3, the Audi RS4 and the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with its future high-performance version which will be named the ATS-V.
Besides the Cadillac ATS-V, the car company is also working on a coupe version of the model which, according to the guys at the thedetroitbureau.com, might hit the market sooner than expected but unfortunately there is no official word from the car manufacturer just yet on this subject.
As a quick reminder, the new Cadillac ATS has been officially presented to the public back in January 2012 in Detroit in a world premiere. The direct competitor to the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and will also go on sale in Europe too this autumn. Prices on the Old Continent are expected to start at 30,000 euros but over-seas, the cheapest ATS costs 33,990 USD, and it’s coming with the 2.5 liter engine and a six-speed transmission, returning 30 mpg on the highway. The top of the line is coming with the 3.6 liter V6 engine, producing 320 HP and costing 42,090 USD.
