Cadillac is now releasing the first official image with the brand new ATS-L, which will only be sold in China.
After Mercedes-Benz has pulled the wraps off the new C-Class L, in the Asian country, time has come for yet another automaker to introduce a model into the same segment. We are talking about Cadillac and its ATS-L, as the vehicle in question has been recently shown, in the image posted above. The regular ATS is currently being imported in China but the long wheelbase version will be locally produced and it will be standing in at 4,730 mm long, from the previous 4,644 mm.
The width of the sedan has gone up by 19 mm to 1,824 mm and the wheelbase is now stretched by 85 mm, to a total of 2,860 mm. The ATS-L is standing 6 mm lower to the ground, at 1,421 mm, and it is riding on either 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels. The 2.0 liter SIDI direct injected turbocharged engine is found under its hood, rated at 279 HP (205 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a 3.6L V6 with 320 HP (235 kW) available, connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Prices for this model are expected to start at 270,000 yuan or the equivalent of 43,650 USD.
