Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V launched in Germany image

The range-topping versions of the ATS and CTS, the „-V”, have been launched recently in Germany.

Cadillac has started taking orders for the ATS-V and CTS-V in Europe and for the high-performance vehicles buyers will have to pay 74,900 euros and 98,500 euros respectively in Germany. The Cadillac CTS-V is the most powerful vehicle in the brand’s history. This is packing the 6.2 liter V8 supercharged engine under its hood, which is capable of putting down a total output of 640 HP (477 kW) and 855 Nm (630 lb-ft) of torque, being connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 3.7 seconds and top speed stands at 320 km/h (199 mph).

Standard features found on the sedan include the third-gen Magnetic Ride Control which, according to Cadillac, is the „world’s fastest reacting suspension technology”. The model is also bringing the Brembo braking system, the carbon fiber hood, 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, matte finish carbon fiber trim, sueded microfiber accents and more. The BMW M3 and M4 rival, the ATS-V Sedan and ATS-V Coupe, customers will have to pay 74,900 euros and 77,500 euros respectively. Both veicles are packing the same 3.6 liter twin turbo V6 engine under their hoods, rated at 455 HP (339 kW) and 603 Nm (445 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 6-speed manual or the 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 3.9 seconds.
