The North American based automaker Cadillac is planning to introduce a hotter version of the current ATS, the ATS-V, which will get a total output of 425 HP.
The Cadillac ATS has been officially unveiled back in 2012, as an American response to the BMW 3-Series, to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and to the Audi A4, amongst others, and its two-door body style, the ATS Coupe, has recently made its public debut during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. Now, after these steps, the carmaker is getting ready to add a new version to the ATS lineup, the Cadillac ATS-V.
According to a recent report, the model in question will come with a 3.6 liter V6 engine. The total output which will be produced by the unit will stand at 425 HP (317 kW), and not the 6.2 liter LT4 V8 unit, from the CTS-V. A hotter version of the model, the ATS-V+, is believe to get the V8 engine which has recently debuted in the Corvette Z06, the one mentioned above. The new Cadillac ATS-V is believed to make its way onto the market by the end of this year. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
