The Cadillac CT6 flagship sedan is believed to get an aluminum body which should keep a weight similar to the one of the CTS.
Cadillac’s upcoming flagship sedan is called the CT6 and it used to be known as the LTS. The model in question is already in development and it has been caught on camera several times by now by spy photographers and it was even confirmed by the car manufacturer. The newest report starring the Cadillac CT6 is stating that the model in question might be coming with an all aluminum body, which might keep its weight similar to the one of the CTS, despite being larger.
The design of the model will be evolutionary so don’t expect any influences from the Ciel or from the Elmiraj concept cars. This will be priced and sized between the BMW 5-Series and the BMW 7-Series, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and between the Audi A6 and the Audi A8. The larger CT9, a true S-Class rival, whose name hasn’t been confirmed yet, is already in the works. The CT6 (Cadillac Tourer 6) will be officially presented to the public next year, at the 2015 New York Auto Show, in April.
