Cadillac has recently announced its plans to introduce its new CT6 flagship sedan next April, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
The Cadillac CT6’s development is no longer a surprise as spy photographers have managed to capture it on camera several times until now and the company has also confirmed it. Originally known as the LTS, the new Cadillac CT6 will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 New York Auto Show, next April and after this will happen, the company will focus on updating the ATS and the CTS, which will also receive different names.
The “CT” nomenclature is the result of joining Cadillac and Tourer and the “6” means that this will be sized and priced between a BMW 5-Series and a BMW 7-Series, between a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and an S-Class and between the Audi A6 and Audi A8, so it won’t really be a competitor for the flagship sedans coming from Germany. A newer and more refined model, the CT7, is expected to come in a few years, which will aim the A8, S-Class and 7-Series. More details on the model are limited at this time and will probably be announced in New York.
