The upcoming flagship model to be signed by Cadillac, the so-called CT6, will be coming with an evolutionary design and it won’t represent a change in the company’s styling direction.
With the 2015th edition of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, coming in pretty fast, carmakers are starting to release some interesting details on some of their upcoming models. One of these companies is called Cadillac and the vehicle spoken about is the new flagship sedan, the CT6. According to Ed Welburn, the GM vice president of Global Design, who has recently spoken to Automotive News Europe, the new CT6 will be coming with an evolutionary design.
Our source is continuing to cite the General Motors official who is saying that the new model will not be representing a change in the company’s styling direction and it will not even be influenced by the Elmiraj Concept, as it was initially believed. The new Cadillac CT6 will have the tough job of going against models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW 7-Series or the Audi A8. This will be followed by a long wheelbase version, which will be launched by 2020, and it will be called the CT8 or the CT9.
