New details on the upcoming flagship Cadillac model, the CT6, have emerged ahead of its public debut which should take place at the 2015 New York Auto Show, in late next month.
The newest model to wear the Cadillac badges on its body is called the CT6 and despite not being unveiled yet, we actually know quite a lot about it, considering the fact that it has been caught on camera while being tested out numerous times and that it has been teased and talked about over these past few months. According to a recent interview with Johan de Nysschen, the Cadillac CEO, Jalopnik found out that the upcoming CT6 will be getting a twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, amongst others.
This will not be the only unit available for the new flagship model but it will be the first one to make its way under its hood. In the future, we also expect some other engines but for now this will have to settle your needs. The new Cadillac CT6 will be placed above the current ATS and CTS but it will not rival directly the S-Class, the A8 or the 7-Series because a future model will be aimed towards this. In fact, it will slot between the BMW 5-Series and the 7-Series in terms of size and it should be similar to its smaller brothers on its exterior. The model will be produced at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly Plant, in Michigan, and it will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.
