Motor Trend has named the Cadillac CTS their 2013 Car of the Year, after the model managed to beat some pretty big names in the competition.
The Cadillac CTS has been recently named the 2013 Motor Trend’s Car of the Year. The model in question managed to snap the title away from the American publication after beating some important vehicles like the Mazda3 or its faster cousin, the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This isn’t the first time when the Cadillac CTS is winning Motor Trend’s Car of the Year award and back in 2008, the model has taken the award away for the first time.
The new generation of the Cadillac CTS, which is the third one, will enter production soon and it will hit the market in a 2014 model year. the model in question will be assembled in the United States and in China and it will be launched in a four-door sedan body style, with a front-engine and rear-wheel drive or front engine and four-wheel drive layout. The CTS’ new generation is riding on the GM Alpha platform and it will get three gasoline engines under its hood, a 2.0L and two 3.6L, which will be mated to either a 6-speed automatic or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
