Cadillac CTS-V keeps it cool with Glacier Edition image

We’re still indulging in sun dwelling, but it seems Cadillac is already considering the fact that “winter is coming” in the real world as well, and wants to be prepared – at least stylistically.

Cadillac has decided the 2018 CTS-V needs to keep things cool – pun intended – by presenting the high-performance sedan with the new Glacier Metallic Edition. It has been limited to a production series of just 115 examples, which is a number that evokes Cadillac’s 115-year history. The four-door comes out to play in a unique smoky light gray exterior finish that might look exactly in place on a gloomy winter day, filed with snow drifting. Cadillac’s Glacier Metallic Edition also brings standard perks such as the Carbon Fiber Package making use of the incredible material for the front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler, and diffuser.

There’s also a set of 19-inch wheels with Midnight Silver accents, while the Brembo brake calipers are dark red and the exterior flourishes are completed with the illuminated door handles. Moving inside, the special version features Recaro sport seats in Jet Black. The Luxury Package as standard (tri-zone climate control, split-folding rear seat, heated rear seat, sunshades, 110-volt power outlet, and rearview mirror-mounted camera), as well as a sunroof and the Performance Data Recorder. The Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition remains mechanically neutral to the rest of the range – supercharged 6.2-liter V8 good for 640 horsepower (477 kilowatts) and 630 pound-feet (855 Newton-meters) of torque hides under the bonnet.
