New details have been released by Cadillac on the new generation of the Escalade which will go on sale shortly.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade has an upscale styling in its cabin and it has been equipped with features such as the heated wood or leather steering wheel, the Santos Palisander or the Natural Finish Elm wood trim, ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, power tilt / telescoping steering column, fold-flat second and third rows of seats, heated and cooled front seats and standard heated second-row, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a push-button start, a CUE infotainment system and much more.
The same evolutionary design can be found on its exterior too, where we can find the Galvano chrome front grille, the LED headlights or the 20-inch aluminum wheels. The North American based automaker is also offering a longer wheelbase version, the ESV, which has, of course, a longer wheelbase, by 14-inch (355 mm) in this case.
The new Cadillac Escalade generation is taking its power from a 6.2 liter V8 engine, which has been rated at 420 HP (313 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is sending its power to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint takes less than 6 seconds and the average fuel consumption stands at 15 / 21 in city / highway in 2WD and at 14 / 21 mpg in 4WD, in city / highway. No pricing details have been announced yet.
