Cadillac is currently analyzing the prospects of putting the impressive Elmiraj Concept into production and it’s also calculating a bigger plug-in hybrid, amongst others.
The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to a recent rumor, Cadillac is believed to put the Elmiraj Concept into production and, besides this, the company is prospecting the addition of a bigger plug-in hybrid car. Bob Ferguson, the Cadillac Global Sales chief, has told The Detroit Bureau that even if it’s too early to provide details on a new plug-in hybrid car, this will be larger and even more luxurious than the ELR.
Ferguson has also spoken about the possibility of putting the impressive Cadillac Elmiraj Concept into production and said that this hasn’t been made to be just a simple concept car, but “to be operationalized”. Sadly we have no details on what the possible production of the Elmiraj will look like and what technologies and engine lineup it could get but we can tell you that the concept has been unveiled just a few months ago and it has been inspired by the Ciel Concept and by the 1967 Eldorado. The model is getting a 4.5L V8 under its hood, which is good for 500 HP.
