Cadillac planning ATS Coupe, might debut in Detroit image

The North American based automaker Cadillac is planning to introduce a coupe version of the ATS in early 2014, during the NAIAS, in Detroit.

Rumors on Cadillac planning to develop an ATS Coupe have been around for quite some time now and it seems that the model in question is very close to making its public debut. According to a recent report, the new Cadillac ATS Coupe will be officially unveiled during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, in January, before it will go on sale next summer. The design of the ATS Coupe is expected to be more conservative than the one of the CTS Coupe and it will be, of course, inspired by the sedan.

As far as the engine options go, the Cadillac ATS Coupe is believed to get all units from its four-door brother, the ATS Sedan, and this means that we will get to see the 202 HP (150 kW) 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit, the 272 HP (203 kW) four-cylinder 2.0 liter or the 3.6 liter V6 with its 321 HP (239 kW) and 373 Nm (275 lb-ft) of torque. The Cadillac ATS Coupe might also come as an ATS-V Coupe, with the new 3.2 liter twin turbo V6 unit, producing more than 500 HP (373 kW). More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
