Cadillac is currently planning to introduce a new model in its range, which will become a direct competitor for the Mercedes-Benz CLA.
After already creating a rival for the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class or Audi A6, with the CTS, and then introducing the ATS, a rival for the 3-Series, C-Class and A4, Cadillac is also developing a new flagship sedan, the so-called CT6, which will battle the 7-Series, S-Class and A8. But this isn’t apparently enough for the North American based automaker which is also getting ready to introduce a brand new model, a direct competitor for the Mercedes-Benz CLA.
The above mentioned vehicle, along with one of its main rivals, the Audi A3, have been a huge hit in the over-seas automotive market and so Cadillac is trying to get a piece of the pie with such a vehicle. The model in question will be costing less than 30,000 USD, for the entry-level unit at least, and it will be part of a global strategy, meaning that we might get to see it on the Old Continent, later on. More details on the new Mercedes CLA competitor to be created by Cadillac are limited for the moment.
