The performance specifications on the 2014 Cadillac ELR have been recently released by the North American based automaker.
The 2014 Cadillac ELR has been placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing the performance specifications for the model which will go on sale in January, for a total price of 75, 995 USD. The model in question is coming in a two-door coupe body style, with a front-wheel drive and a single body-frame-integral, the so-called unibody.
Power to the 2014 Cadillac ELR is being provided by a 1.4 liter four-cylinder petrol burner, acting as a generator, along with an 16.5 kWh lithium ion battery and an electric motor, which is producing a total output of 217 HP (162 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to these figures, the 2014 Cadillac ELR can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 8.8 seconds in the EV mode and in 7.8 seconds in the range extending mode, before reaching a top speed of 106 mph (170 km/h). The total range of the car stands at 345 miles (555 km) once the petrol burner kicks in and at 37 miles (60 km) in the EV mode.
