Cadillac reveals Book – an upscale car-sharing service image

The US luxury automaker has decided to also cater to the audience that doesn’t necessarily want to own a car, but still has the means to pay the premium associated with its brand.

This is probably why they decided to introduce Book by Cadillac, a new monthly subscription service that makes it simpler to drive its cars – actually if you pay a flat fee of $1,500 per month you can enjoy the perks of driving any XT5, CT6, Escalade, or V Series Cadillac. Additionally, you can interrupt the payments because the users can use Book by Cadilac on a month-to-month basis without a long-term commitment, and they only need a smartphone app to select which vehicle they want to drive, as well as a period. More importantly, insurance, taxes, and registration tax fees are handled by the automaker and there’s also no mileage limit.

“Book by Cadillac is an innovative new option targeted at a growing class of luxury drivers searching for access to various cars over time, dependent on their individual needs,” said Cadillac chief marketing officer Uwe Ellinghaus. The program allows anyone to play with a sports sedan such as the ATS-V during summer and then go for the XT5 crossover or Escalade SUV for the winter period. Unfortunately, the Book by Cadillac will be limited to the New York metro area when it launches, with other regions possibly following later on.
