The 2012 “Most Desired Brands in the U.S.”, a survey which measures emotional connections to brands, shows that Cadillac is the most wanted brand in America.

Owned by General Motors, Cadillac is America’s most prestigious domestic luxury automaker, the first to produce a V8, the first to use thermostatic control of a cooling system, and the first to offer dash-controlled headlights. Cadillac quickly gained a reputation for specializing in precise craftsmanship and for using standardized parts.

“The 2012 “Most Desired Brands in the U.S. survey was conducted by the global strategic neuro-insight firm Buyology Inc and uSamp, which measured personal and emotional connections to 220 well-known brands across 10 industries,” according to Cadillac.

In 2011 Cadillac saw retail sales growth of 6.8%, let by the CTS family of cars, up 19% in 2010, and the mid-size luxury SRX crossover, up 9.6% in 2011. For 2012 the company plans to extend sales introducing the XTS full-size luxury sedan and the ATS compact luxury sedan, which are to be released in the spring and summer of 2012.

Now, we are not certain how precise the survey was since only 6.8% more people bought a Cadillac in 2011 compared to 2010, but all in all the car is a beautiful vehicle offering powerful engine, elegant lines and a full accoutrement of luxury features.
