The 2017 MY comes with a minor facelift and update across the tech board for the CTS model, which now boasts a new radiator grille as well as modified rear bumper.
The minor facelift is not going to make the CTS unrecognizable, with the upgrade bringing an all-new grille inspired by the one seen on the larger and newer CT6. Other exterior design modifications are even more subtle, with the car getting a revised rear bumper, vertical exhaust tips, and a modified rear valence. The styling changes also include the Carbon Black sport package, new choices of alloy wheels and an update of the color palette that brings forward the Bronze Dune Metallic and Silver Moonlight Metallic shades.
Cabin modifications are even less intrusive, with Cadillac opting for an updated CUE infotainment system with access to the Cadillac Collection – this is actually the same thing as in having applications on the smartphone from the Apple iTunes or the Google Play Store. The 2017 model year CTS has also reworked trim packages and a newly optional Rear Camera Mirror. The latter can go from the traditional mirror to a digital screen at the touch of a button.
Powertrain options remain the same. You can go for the base option and have the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder sporting 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If that’s not enough then you’ll need to shell out more bucks to get the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 packing 335 hp and 285 lb-ft of torque. The CTS VSport is using a biturbo 3.6-liter V6 engine churning out 420 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
