General Motors’ premium division Cadillac has just announced the official pricing for the 2015 Escalade sport-utility vehicle. The premium SUV can be had for a base price of 94,500 euros and the maker has also made available the extended wheelbase variant now.
The detailed pricing is for the German market and Cadillac expects to complete the model’s sales launch across the European region by the year’s end. The extended-length version (ELV) is also available in Europe for the first time.
“The Escalade is the pinnacle of the Cadillac portfolio and will once again prove to be extremely desirable among premium SUV buyers,” comments Thomas Sedran, President and Managing Director, Cadillac and Chevrolet Europe.
The huge signature SUV, a testament to Cadillac’s true American nature, will only be offered with all-wheel drive and sports under the hood a new 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 420hp (313 kW) and has a peak torque of 621 Nm – which is an increase of 5 hp and 10 Nm over the outgoing generation.
The luxurious SUV provides space for seven persons and features such amenities as the industry’s first Total Internal Reflection LED high-beam function, with crystal lenses and LEDs. There is also an Active Fuel Management system that shuts down some of the cylinders when not in use, while the Magnetic Ride Control suspension is now standard.
