The Land of the Rising Sun seems to be enamored with automotive special editions, stomach as we have seen countless here over the years – and now the latest involves Cadillac’s sedans.
In recent months we have seen limited edition models flourish in Japan and most likely the top producer to deliver such special occasions has been BMW – most likely due to its 100 years anniversary. But Cadillac is also keen to expand its offering with models that have special status and has decided to introduce the ATS and CTS White Edition models – complete with exclusive status. That’s because the models are only offered in a very limited production run of just 20 examples, following in the footsteps of the Luxury Sport Edition seen earlier this year. The previous special series only touched the ATS, but this one is also offered for the ATS Coupe and the midsize CTS sedan.
The modifications are subtle though – all three models get a Crystal White Turi Court paint, 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, and an electric sunroof. Owners will also see the cars adorned with Light Platinum and Jet Black accents inside the cabin, complete with high-gloss Sapele wood trim. The CTS will only be offered with a Kona Brown cabin with jet black accents and an Elm natural wood trim. No matter your choice, you get the same engine turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with 276 horsepower (203 kilowatts) at 5,500 rpm and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) of torque from 3,000 rpm.
