The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray might get a Shooting Brake version, made by Callaway, if the model will receive a high demand.
The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with an announcement made by Callaway. According to the company, a Shooting Brake version of the brand new Corvette can become a reality and the model can already be ordered. Callaway says that if the Corvette Shooting Brake will receive enough orders it will be produced. The rear hatch will be made from carbon fiber and it shouldn’t affect the car’s performance too much.
If it will indeed hit the market, the Callaway Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake will be able to reach a top speed of more than 200 mph (322 km/h). The new engine which will be fitted under the hood of the model is expected to be different than the one found in the brand new Corvette Stingray and Corvette Stingray Convertible, which is the 6.2 liter V8 with 450 HP (335 kW) and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm). Additional details on the Callaway Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake remain unknown for the moment and will be announced if the model will indeed make its way onto the market.
