Chevrolet has recently introduced the new Camaro Z/28 to the 2014 North American International Auto Show, in Detroit.
The model in question was finished in a black paint scheme and it came with the gloss black wheels, with the prominent black front splitter and the unique Chevrolet badge, amongst others. At the heart of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 stands a 7.0 liter LS7 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 500 HP (373 kW) and it has a peak torque of 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. The muscle car is three seconds faster on General Motors’ test track than the Camaro ZL1.
Chevy says that the Camaro Z/28 has been fitted with features like the track tuned suspension system, with stiffer springs and adjustable spool-valve dampers, with carbon ceramic brakes and with a limited slip differential. Recently, the vehicle has managed to lap the famous Nurburgring in Germany in just 7 minutes and 37.47 seconds, outrunning more expensive cars like the Audi R8 V10, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 or the Porsche 911 Carrera S (991). Prices for the Camaro Z/28 have been set at 75,000 USD and this includes the 995 USD destination charge.
