Camaro ZL1 to get 550 hp, ZR1 Performance Traction Management System image

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was first unveiled at the Canada’s Camaro Homecoming. The event held next to the Oshawa Assembly Plant, where all the Camaros are actually produced and there Al Oppenheiser, the chief engineer has said that this magnificent car will receive more power as compared to what it has previously figured – 550 horsepower.

Oppenheiser has revealed some of the exciting news about this car six months prior to its production.

While 550 hp is set for the Camaro ZL1, he has also commented that this car will make its top speed at 556 horsepower, comparable to the current Cadillac CTS-V, which is the high performance version of the standard CTS.

In order to receive more fans and likings, the car will deliberately be upgraded with the help of ZR1 performance Traction Management System, which enhances the grip on road, making it easier to deliver the fastest, most reliable lap times.

If the driver is not in mood to row the gears, he still can enjoy riding perfectly with the help of an optional automatic transmission, as confirmed by Oppenheiser who was present at the unveiling event of Camaro ZL1.

This optional feature makes the car more interesting for the drivers who don’t have to hunt for gearing controls anymore. Since it is designed as a serious track machine, the Boss 302 possibly might have to think about its alternative option.
