Car Crash: 10 people injured in LA Car Crash image

Ten people have been injured, two critically, in a crash involving nine cars happened in Leimert Parkin, Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says more than two dozen firefighters responded to the pileup Sunday just after 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Vernon Avenue.

Humphrey says one of the critically injured was briefly trapped in a vehicle, which had to be partially disassembled by rescuers.

Neither Humphrey nor Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Cleon Joseph could say how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
