The German tuning company specialized in Mercedes-Benz, Carlsson, has recently revealed the C25 Super GT limited edition which is aimed exclusively for China.
After Carlsson Autotechnik GmbH has been acquired by Zhongsheng Group Holdings LTD, the German aftermarket specialists are once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the help of the Carlsson C25 Super GT, a limited edition aimed for China. According to the German tuner, the redesigned Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is available in only seven units and the vehicles have already been sold out in the Asian country.
“We wanted to develop a vehicle that is highly exclusive on the one hand, and on the other hand can be also be used for the daily commute to the office. A Super GT which impresses with its driving comfort in urban traffic as much as its capability to go from zero to 100. This concept is especially suited to the Chinese market and we are delighted with the very high level of interest”, said Markus Schuster, the CEO and engineer for Carlsson.
According to the aftermarket specialists at Carlsson, the C25 Super GT is getting the Carlsson V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 450 horsepower, instead of the 6.0 liter bi-turbo engine with 753 HP and 1,150 Nm of torque (848 lb-ft) found in the SL600. The Carlsson C25 Limited Edition has a base price of 4,000,000 RMB.
