The results are in and the readers of Popular Mechanics magazine have named Castrol as its favorite Motor Oil brand as part of the magazine’s 2009 Reader’s Choice Awards.
This is the first year Popular Mechanics conducted the survey to determine reader’s favorite brands in the automotive, home, retail and electronics categories. More than 7,000 participants voted in nearly 30 categories with at least five competing brands per category.
“Castrol is thrilled to have been recognized by the readers of Popular Mechanics Magazine,” said Dave Gannon, PCO Marketing Director, Castrol.
“The Reader’s Choice award is just one example of Castrol’s dedication to providing drivers with high-quality motor oils that outperforms conventional, high mileage and synthetic blend motor oils. We are excited that our brand continues to resonate with consumers as we continue to strive to constantly exceed customer expectations.”
“Congratulations to Castrol on this honor,” said Bill Congdon, publisher, Popular Mechanics. “Our readers demand quality and performance in any product they buy and are very knowledgeable consumers. We know they only choose the best.”
For over 100 years, Castrol has been the technology leader in motor oil with advanced proprietary formulas that exceed the world’s toughest industry-agreed standards. In 2009, Castrol once again raised the bar for motor oil by launching a new, advanced synthetic called Castrol EDGE.
