Ford may give Lincoln a compact
Ford Motor Co. is considering a compact, or C-segment, vehicle for its Lincoln luxury brand, product development chief Derrick Kuzak said on Thursday. "We do think that there is room for a smaller car in the Lincoln brand," Kuzak, group vice president for global product development, said at a press event in Belgium. He would not discuss specifics. Lincoln will offer Sirius radio on all 2008 models.
Lincoln has announced that it will offer Sirius Satellite Radio as standard equipment on every 2008 model year Lincoln MKZ, MKX, Navigator, Navigator L, and Mark LT.  Every new Lincoln equipped with Sirius Satellite Radio will also come with six months of programming from Sirius, allowing the buyer to give the service a trial run free of cost. FoMoCo's flagship Lincoln brand recently announced plans to produce a large soft-roader, dubbed MKT, for the 2009 calendar year. You can call MKT whatever you want- crossover, people mover, glorified wagon - just don't dare utter the SUV acronym.
