Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has decided to name its all-new compact crossover the RVR. This all-new compact crossover is planned for sequential release globally, and will be first released in Japan next spring.
The RVR will be fitted with an all-new 1.8L MIVEC petrol engine, and will be approximately 4.3 meters in length, featuring high fuel efficiency via its lightweight compact body. With the RVR, MMC expands its crossover lineup, which already includes the full-size Pajero, and the mid-size Outlander.

PSA Peugeot Citroen is in talks to spend up to 300 billion yen ($3.4 billion) to acquire a 30-50 percent stake in Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp, the Nikkei business daily reported on Thursday.
A Mitsubishi Motors spokesman Tetsuji Inoue said the report was not true. Peugeot, Europe's second-biggest carmaker, was not immediately available for comment.

This is a decrease of 24.4% from last month's sales of 3,867 (October 2009). The November total includes the initial early sales of the new redesigned 2010 Outlander.

Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) today announced September 2009 sales of 4,712.
The U.S. Government's CARS program (so-called "Cash For Clunkers") pulled sales forward into July and August, however the third quarter (July through September) was by far MMNA's best of the year, up 18 percent from the first quarter (January-March) and up 29 percent over the second quarter (May-June).
