The British based automaker Caterham has recently released a first teaser image of an upcoming model which should be a supercharged sports car.
The new model which will be signed by Caterham hasn’t been teased for the Paris Motor Show and even if the French automotive event is coming in very fast, being scheduled to open its gates for the media on the 27th of September, the British based automaker has announced that the supercharged sports car will make its public debut in October. Caterham didn’t say where the new model will be presented and details on it are currently limited.
The new sports car made by Caterham has been described as the “big brother” of the R300 which will get a supercharged engine. The Caterham R300 is powered by a 2.0 liter Duratec engine which is producing a total output of 175 horsepower (177 PS / 131 kW) and it has a peak torque of 188 Nm (139 lb-ft). The 515 kg (1,135 lb) roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). More details on the new Caterham model will be announced at its unveiling in October.
