The most upscale Seven that has ever existed so far is bearing the signature of Caterham’s all new Signature personalization program.
When discussing Caterham cars luxury doesn’t really fit the conversation all too well – but the British company is looking to change all that from now on. For starters, they partnered with London department store Harrods to deliver a special edition Seven – for now the most well appointed model in existence. Harrod’s in-house design team decided the bodywork should be clad in the store’s signature green, complete with a white stripe and gold pinstriping. The interior on the other hand is wrapped in butterscotch leather upholstery, and the Harrods ‘H’ sits on the gearknob and key. Finishing touches are the wood veneer dashboard and the gold powder-coat finish for the chassis.
All the luxury resides on a 420S model so motivation arrives in the form of a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Ford Duratec engine packing 210 horsepower (157 kilowatt), good for a 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 136 mph (219 km/h). Additionally, the Harrods Seven is just the first product coming out of Caterham’s new Signature personalization program. The Harrods Seven will become available at the Harrods store in Knightsbridge, priced at £59,999 ($74,296) – which is double the price of a regular Seven 420.
