The launch even of the recently unveiled Ferrari 488 GTB has just taken place as the supercar has been shown, in a world premiere, to select customers.
Ahead of its debut which is scheduled for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a couple of weeks, Ferrari has done what it does best and presented the brand new 488 GTB to a group of select customers in a launch even and the images posted below stand proof because these will be the only live ones until the supercar will be debuting at the Swiss automotive event, on the 3rd of March.
The Ferrari 488 GTB has been unveiled over the web a few weeks ago and this is the newest supercar to come out of Maranello. The model in question is basically a facelifted version of the 458 Italia but rather seeing the usual tweaked front and rear bumpers and lighting units, the carmaker has performed the same “stunts” as it did with the Ferrari California T.
The brand new Ferrari 488 GTB has received a new design but this is still making it instantly recognizable, long with a 3.9 liter V8 engine, which has come as a replacement for the old 4.5 liter V8. Turbocharging era has begun with Ferrari and the new unit is capable of producing 670 HP (493 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque, available at 3,000 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the supercar needs just 3 seconds and top speed stands at 330 km/h (205 mph).
