It’s mid-engined and rear-wheel drive and it’s a hot version of the 650S Spider made by McLaren. We’re speaking about the McLaren 650S Spider Nurburgring 24H Edition, which has surfaced the web recently.
German McLaren dealer Dorr Motorsport has officially released the details on this particular McLaren 650S Spider Nurburgring Edition, which is celebrating the achievement of the 2014 24 Hours of the Nurburgring. The bespoke model is limited to just 8 units and it is bringing the MSO goodies like the side blades, rear diffuser and front splitter. Dorr Motorsport has provided the exhaust system and the wheels and the interior design of the supercar is bringing the Alcantara and leather upholstery, the orange seatbelts, special plaque, carbon package, decorative stitching and several other goodies.
The McLaren 650S is a successor of the old MP4-12C, being shown back in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. The supercar is being offered in two body styles, 2-door coupe and 2-door roadster, both of them having the same rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Under the hood, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine is resting, but in this case this is capable of putting down a total of 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the exotic model needs just 3 seconds and it can go from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.4 seconds. Top speed stands at 330 km/h (205 mph).
