The S60 and V60 Polestar Scott McLaughlin Edition have been officially unveiled and they will be available exclusively in New Zealand.
Volvo and Polestar have teamed up once again and this time they have created a new special model available in two body styles, the S60 and the V60. The two have been called the Polestar Scott McLaughlin Edition and, as we have mentioned above, they will be available exclusively in McLaughlin’s home country, New Zealand.
“It’s great that Volvo New Zealand and Polestar have given me this unique opportunity to create a Limited Edition model after having some input into the development of the car in Sweden”, said Scott McLaughlin.
The new Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar Scott McLaughlin Edition are getting the black grille surround, the body-color side skirts, the black alloy wheels, the individually numbered plaque, the embroidered headrests with the racing driver’s signature and that’s about all. Let’s not forget the 3.0 liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, which is found under its hood, capable of putting down no less than 350 HP (257 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system. The S60 Polestar needs just 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it has a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). No pricing details on the two models have been announced so far but production will be limited to just 10 units.
