Chery has recently announced its plans to put the Beta 5 Concept into production, over the next two years.
After it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, not too long ago, the Chery Beta 5 Concept is ending up in our news once again, this time with an announcement made by the company. According to the carmaker, the Chery Beta 5 Concept will hit the production line in 2015 and the model will sit on a Tiggo 5 platform, with stretched dimensions, being placed above the Tiggo 5 in the company’s lineup. The model will get a 130 HP 2.0L unit and a 150 HP 1.6L supercharged engine.
As a quick reminder, the Chery Beta 5 Concept has a slender grille, LED infused headlights, LED daytime running lights, plastic body cladding, large alloy wheels and a contemporary front fascia. The model has been officially unveiled just a few weeks ago, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, in a world premiere. Additional details on the Chery Beta 5 Concept, or on its final production version, are limited for the moment, and will be announced once the model will be ready for the assembly line.
