Chery has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the Beta 5 Concept, ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
The crossover segment is getting ready to be taken over by Chery after the carmaker has unveiled the Beta 5 Concept, which will eventually be transformed into a final production model, after its public debut on the 20th of April, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. As you can see from the images posted below, the Chery Beta 5 Concept is coming with a contemporary front fascia, highlighted by the slender grille or by the LED infused headlights.
The Chery Beta 5 Concept is also coming with plastic body cladding, LED daytime running lights or large alloy wheels. The crossover is rumored to be based on the Tiggo 5 and the final production version of the model, which is expected to be launched in 2015, should get a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine under its hood, which is good for 130 HP (97 kW), or a 1.6 liter supercharged unit, producing 150 HP (112 kW). Additional details on the Chery Beta 5 Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced in Shanghai.
